Something special about your "first"...
83 Toyota P/U for me. God, I miss that thing! oh yeah, extra points for pics... |
1985 Toyota pickup, 4x4, 22R 4 cylinder, manual tranny, no A/C
1979 Datsun 210 Wagon, Burnt orange color.
I loved that car and I am looking for another one. |
1961 Ford 1 ton dually
It had a flat or stake bed and a huge cattle guard on it. My dad and I rebuilt the 390 in it and I thought that it was indestructable. Actually it was pretty damn indestructable. |
77 Chevy Caprice 2dr, white with red interior. It was a pimp-ride, but I lived in the Land of Pimps.
85 Jeep Wagoneer (sp?)
4 cyl POS could barley make it up a 30 degree hill. |
I thought it would've been a taxi... |
1988 AE92 Maroon red Corolla Sedan. DOHC carb engine. Loved it to death, but I butchered it up in an attempt to make it something it wasn't....autocrosser.

72 Plymouth Duster w/ slant 6 auto.
It started with a push button located in the ashtray, where the lighter used to be. I was in highschool at the time, and sometimes after school the car would be in a different spot than where I had parked it in the morning! I guess a few people knew the secret of my car. |
1988 Chevy Beretta with a bright red new paint job circa 1995.
2.8 multi port fuel injected v6 and at 16 I thought I was an indy car racer. Ahh the good ole days. |
I have a 72 charger right now! it has a 318 and open headers. Do you have any parts left off of your charger? IM me if you do. |
1967 Mustang with a 289 and a 3 speed.
Funny, when my dad bought it for me he ended up driving it more than I did while I drove around in his 1979 Mustange Hatchback with 4 cylinder and automatic transmission. Almost every morning I'd wake up for school, look out the window to see my car was gone and his was in the driveway. I usually only got to drive it weekends. |
79 Pinto.
Paid all of $800 for it. Stared a long line of crappy cars and trucks including a 78 chevy pickup with a inline 6 and three on the tree. |
'68 Rover 2000TC Had it for a few trouble-stricken months. Sold it, cleaned out my savings, and bought a 73 VW Beatle. DaddyDett |
88 suzuki samurai hardtop
I beat the ever living dogshit out of that thing and it never skipped a beat |
68 Plymouth Fury 2 door with 318. That car got 22 to 24 mpg and was wide enough that I could sleep on the front seat with my legs dangling over the edge.
Next was a 65 Chevy pickup, followed by 75 LTD (ripped the front end out on a manhole in front of a gunshop in Hampton, Va.), then a 67 FrankenVolvo, then the biggest POS of all, a new 83 Mustang 3 door I special ordered with a 3.8l V-6. |
1969 Chevy Camero; not a Z-28 though....
307 v8 -w- 3-speed manual Soon after buying it I rebuilt the motor and my best friend & I spent our high school graduation summer touring the west half of the US. |
1985 Dodge 1/2 Ton, two tone blue, 360 4bbl and a 727 automatic. Ran like a scalded dog, pulled like rhino, and never knew when to quit.
I have never owned a car.
First vehicle: 1979 Kawasaki SR650. First 4 wheeled vehicle: 1996 Dodge Ram. Never ever owned a car or anything with 4 doors. |
My first vehicle was a 1955 Harley Davidson Chopper.
My first car was a 1963 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible. That was a piece of crap but got me around. Colt_SBR |
1983 Mustang GLX convertible. Only 6 cylinders but I lady killer with the aftermarket chrome and stereo. |
1972 Cadillac Sedan Deville. Beat-to-hell when I got it, but boy-howdy was that 501 a torque monster.
My buddies called it the "deathmobile". |
1968 Mercury Monterey, 2 door with a 390 4 bbl p[lant. It started life out as metal flake gold, but I got a fart crosswise and painted it flat black for some reason.
1974 Plymouth Valiant Tan/Grey with a slant 6.
I was truley big pimpin' back then............. |
A rusting-out '87 Cavalier RS with 240k miles on it.
It was Dad's old car, and it was free. Which made it good enough. |
'72 Chevy Vega hatchback. Coca~Cola red with black interior, 4spd. She'd scoot around town OK but was kinda worthless on the highway. ~85mph top speed
I'd buy another if I found one that wasn't a rustbucket, though I'd most likely upgrade the engine to a 2.5L Iron Duke Pontiac or a 231ci Buick v6. The Vega 2300 aluminum sleeveless block/iron OHC engine is neat idea from a mechanical perspective but the execution left a bit to be desired. |
first car - 1959 vw beetle
first car that ran and drove - 1982 vw rabbit I worked at a vw garage when I was in high school. |
'72 Chevy Monte Carlo, Gold with black pinstripes. Man I still miss that car.
1959 Pontiac Catalina, 389 Tri-Power, I was a Senior in HS in 1961. Traded in in after I graduated for a 1962 Chevy Impala SS 409; 4 spd, dual quad, positraction 409, black, black, black!
1977 Ford LTD Landau, bought it for $500.
Faded brown, brown interior, and a different brand of tire on each corner! |
1966 Chevelle, 4-door white party wagon.
250 cu. in. 6 cyl. with 2 - speed Power Glide. Tough as a tank! Could kill the battery with the Pioneer tape deck then roll start it (dual pump power glide), had to get to around 30 mph and shift into drive. Had to also remember to have key on when doing so. Danny |
1977 ford thunderchicken, 351 that I put "a little" work in. With the seat all the way back I had trouble reaching the pedals and i am 6'3" ish, I miss that boat, 6 mpg , that I don't miss
Mine was a dark green, 1957 Chevy, step side, pick up with the wood slats in the bed!
