It is a Bushmaster 20" match barrel with an AK muzzle brake. Picked up an extra 30rd mag and 1000 rounds of ammo. That should last a while.

Congrats on the purchase. You won't be dissapointed. I will agree with SPECTRE on the point of buying more. By this time next year you probably will have bought at least another 1500 rnds and 10 mags. Hehehehehehe.[uzi]

I was reading the FAQ's at the Bushmaster site to see if I should clean it before shooting it. It seems I shouldn't until 200rds or so are ran through it. Let me know if you have any differnt ideas on this.

Deepsky, if you have access to a one-piece rod I suggest pushing a tight patch through that barrel first. I don't care what anyone says, count on yourself to make sure EVERYTHING is removed from that barrel before using it.
If you don't have a one-piece rod, at least get one of those pull-through barrel cleaners. Congratulations. |

I would also lube it up before firing. My last rifle was shipped dry.
