USGI stock modified/reinforced with carbon fiber strips, JB weld and fiberglass tape (inside the barrel channel). Added a kick-eez grind to fit recoil pad, painted it with Alumahyde II coyote.

As requested, barrel channel pics:

Rear lug was filled in. Using JB Weld, Pulled cotton balls and micro balloons. All JB weld was mixed with micro balloons to lower weight. Both front and rear.

2.Applied a layer of JB Weld and then pushed in 1 layer of fiberglass tape intermixed with the epoxy.
3. Inserted 3/16" carbon fiber strips to the sides of the barrel channel. Used JB weld to glue in place.
4. Added another layer of JB Weld and fiberglass tape to smooth out the barrel channel and fill in any gaps.
5. FIlled the original sling mount and added 2x t-nuts to mount the picatinny rail and epoxied them into place.

Forearm is now stiff and does not flex at all. The Springfield stock is a POS and why does Springfield charge you $1600+ for a rifle and install it with a $10 stock is beyond me.
