Been in the DEP since May as an OC, Finally got my UH 03xx and a ship date of Jan10th!

The 25 days cant come sooner!.

I dont think so? from my understanding its regular infantry.

Good news. I'll be a week behind you (Jan17). My job just came up a few days ago too. I assume you are going to Parris Island?

My cousin is stationed in Beaufort (a few miles away) and says it had been about 50 degrees and up before this recent cold snap. A lot better than 100 degrees in July. I tihnk we are timing it pretty dang good.

Good luck! Not gonna lie, some of boot sucks, but you keep going and it's over quick. When you get to the fleet the fun stuff really begins, especially for an 03.

Keep your head down and dont quit! My little nugget of wisdom for you is this! Just remember that it will not go on forever! It will end! Thats what kept me pushing on when I was in basic many years ago.

I went to PI in December. Despite being coastal SC, it does get cold there, and rains alot.

It's a mind game. Don't forget that they make it hard on purpose, but they can't legally kill and eat you, and you'll be fine.

Awesome I just joined the DEP and just my MP job after waiting for 2 months for a spot to open up, my ship date is august 8th as of right now,.....I have a long wait, good luck.
