Last night the little Lady and I broke down and got a PS3, Little Big Planet, The Force Unleashed, and Mortal Combat vs. DC.

Now I do have a small wish list going that includes MW2, MW:Black Ops, Force Unleashed II, but that's about it.

So let's hear it. What else do I need?

I thought "Infamous" was great. And the sequel is on the way.

Also, all 3 "God Of War" games.

This, along with Netflix.

Only games I really play are NCAA 2011 and Gran Turismo.  I prefer the controls on a PC for FPS....

Uncharted 1 and 2 are fucking EPIC games.

I haven't been able to get sucked into a video game for 4+ years until Uncharted came around... Totally hooked.

Uncharted 1+2, MAG, MGS4, GT5 (when it releases), God of War, and Demon's Souls.

I feel these are the best console games of this generation, all are PS3 exclusives.

skip MW2 and just get Black Ops when it comes out

I would immediately find a local shop that works on PS3s. Sony wants $148 to fix the silver flux for the heat sink on my PS3 and the it take 6 weeks to do it and the local place says they'll fix it for $50 plus parts and will have it for about a day..do the math. Get Bad Company 2...it go between BFBC2 and MW2 to stay level, but I also prepaid fro black ops. I got the edition that has the zombie levels too. I need to just blow away lifeless beings every once in a while. MAG is WAY too involved for its own good, forget about MAG.

Just a warning, do NOT go online with mortal kombat vs DC universe. Support for the game has been disabled since the production company went under and hackers are running rampant and frying people's PS3's.

Since you just got the PS3 I would get some of the older games that have had the prices cut.  There are some real good ones out there for cheap, like Bioshock, Fallout 3, MGS4, GTA4, Assassins Creed at 20 bucks.  Borderlands (one of my favorites), Assassins Creed 2, Bioshock 2, Oblivion, Resistance 1 & 2 and a ton more at 30 bucks.  By the time you get caught up on those the newer stuff will be easy to get used if it hasn't been discounted yet.

You need an HDTV and a surround sound system to take full advantage of the PS3.

Little Big Planet is fun, my girlfriend likes it.

I am loving Killzone 2, and looking forward to 3.  Battlefield BC2 is fun as well.

(And yeah, I have a 360 and a Wii as well, for the haters...)

You can pick up a used copy of Metal GEar Solid 4 for a steal now. Red Dead Redemption is also terrific. Resident Evil 5 is very good as well.

I just started the streaming Netflix on PS3 too, that ios pretty cool, but the choices are limited for the moment.

FORCE UNLEASHED II.  is not worth the money.  I loved the first one, but the second one just feels as if they got lazy and decided for you to do the same thing over and over again.  Plus, the game is way to short.  I beat it with in 4-5 hours.  Your better off waiting for when you can buy it for $20 or less.

Don't forget a second dual shock controller
A charger for the controllers, I have an Energizer unit that was 30 bucks, it holds two controllers and glows red while charging and green when done.
If you will be streaming Netflix or watching BluRay/DVD get a remote ( the wife will appreciate this )

Got one (a PINK one too...for the wife). As for netflix, I have a roku in the bedroom and the Wii has it too. We ordered the PS3 disc before we even had it for the Wii, haha.

ETA: Formatting quit apparently...

I mostly just played Bad Company 2 - not listing that since the single player is pretty basic. Here's good single player shit,

My favorites:

1. Fallout 3
2. Metal Gear Solid IV
3. LittleBigPlanet
4. Assassin's Creed II
5. Uncharted 1
6. Red Dead Redemption
7. Batman Arkham Asylum
8. Grand Theft Auto IV
9. The Force Unleashed
10. Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

What I'm picking up eventually, but hear is super good:

Borderlands, Dragon Age, Fallout 4, Uncharted 2, Bioshock 2, Force Unleashed 2
