They are quite tastey.

Try figs with peanut butter inside... doused in sugar.   Old family holiday treat

Hate figs, but can eat fig newtons all day.  I guess if you add enough sugar to anything it gets good.

Fanny doolee likes "Friggen Newtons" but doesn't like "figs".  Why do you think that is?

I happened to visit a co-workers, fathers house. His father is a transplanted Italian.(from Italy of course). He has a fig tree that is approximetly 10 feet tall, that he wheels into his garage in the winter time. It is growing in a huge steel pot that he found buried in his yard.

It's pretty amazing... anyway, I love Figs, Fig newtons Fig leaves, FIGS! FIGS! FIGS!!!!

Just kidding, but when I was stationed in Italy, I used to eat the figs right out of the tree. I had no idea about the bug thing though

I don't really want to know what happens with a lot of the foods I eat. I eat what I like, I know hotdogs are basically shit in a tube, but they taste good and haven't harmed me yet, so I still eat them.

I worked in a food processing place, it made me want to never eat again.
