Yesterday, a call went out for a kid (about 14 years old) that had been shot. Everyone arrives on scene and it's one of the deputies step son. He and a friend had been shooting and from what we gather, he shot something and the bullet ricocheted and hit him in the neck. The bullet must have hit an artery and his son bled out and died.
This has to be one of the toughest calls to go on, but to get there and see it's your son, I can't imagine the pain he's going through. Please pray for him and his family and if you have kids, hug em and tell em you love em

Oh man that's horrible.
Prayers sent. ETA: any idea what he was shooting? This sounds like a freak accident, but maybe we can all learn something and be more cautious of ricochets. |
