I don't think there's been any changes. Go to the FedEx website and search "firearm shipment" and you'll get the current policy. There's a lengthy thread on the subject running on 1911forum.com with a lot of quotes from the various government and carrier rergulations.

FedEx Ground will not accept for transport handguns, assembled or disassembled.
That's why you don't tell them. I took in a pistol a while back, and the girl asked me if it contained powders, chemicals, or glass. No ma'am! $11 to ship instead of $60+ sounded OK to me. |
