At work the other day an anti was babbling to me about civilians not needing guns, carry permits, etc. I was listening politely and preparing my response to him when an armed federal officer listening in on the conversation turns around and says, "I don't see how you can possibly WANT to go around unarmed? If another officer in this office were to go psycho on us at this moment and start shooting everyone in sight I know exactly what I would do! What would you be able to do besides shitting your pants and taking a bullet to the head while begging for your pathetic life. You need to think before opening your mouth and spewing self absorbed media inspired drivle, taking responsability for your own safety and actions is the sign of a grown adult. I am really sick of people expecting law enforcement officers to be their mommies. Everyone that thinks like you deserves to have every freedom and God given right that American soldiers have died for taken from them. Do us all a favor and move to China, you'll fit right in with all the sheeple!"

Thank you for the offer. I was so impressed that I splurged and we ate at a nice restaurant the next day for lunch, on me.

BTW I made sure I told him over and over how incredible his reply was. I have quoted it almost word for word and have been running it through my head over and over for several days now.

Quick background on the story. The co-worker I was talking with is usually pretty cool but he is very anti-gun. The officer who responded to him is temporarilly visiting our office and was surprised by the tone of voice my co-worker had taken with me. He was a bit harsh in his answer and later apologized to my co-worker for the China comment. My co-worker admitted to having never really thought about a situation like the one presented to him and was genuinely surprised to hear an officer voice his opinion like that. The situation was pretty tense for a while but they both just blew each others comments off and went back to their business. Apology was accepted and nobody got in trouble. I really wish more LEO's felt like this,unfortunately this particular officer is in the minority. I will never forget the words, "I know exactly what I would do! What would you be able to do ".
