Just going out and blasting away at anything that moves or doesn't move


I used to love IDPA or action style shooting (pins, plates... etc).


Lately I've been taking a lot more interest in benchrest and precision shooting; particularly with regards to reloading on an anal scale (weighing brass, turning necks, trickling powder... that sort of thing).

I find something fascinating  about being able to put 5 bullets on a pinhead at 100 yards.

My latest addiction is Sporting Clays

I split my time equally between IDPA, steel plates, and close-quarters rifle shooting.  I've been trying to get into some 4-position shooting at 100-200 yards.  I think bench rest is pretty boring, YMMV.

You forgot 'Armchair Commando' ie I can get a group of a dime rapid fire standing at 300 yard with irons.

I would like to try IDPA, but that would mean me buying a new pistol...

I'd do CMP and other rifle stuff, but, to be honest, I need a lot more practice at rifle shooting before I get into that.
