What was you favorite board game when you were a kid?

Mine was Torpedo run, which had 6 plastic ships with turrets that blew off when you shot them in the right place with a "torpedo" from your submarine, which was actually a small plastic chip.
The game was played on a huge cardboard sheet. I have no idea what the rules were, since it was so damn fun for me and my dad to blow up each others ships.

Of course my mom pitched the game after the 20th or so torpedo came shooting out of her vaccuum.      Man i wish i still had it.

lets here what yall thought was fun

Global Thermo Nuclear War with WOPR

ETA the entire earth is a board right?    They say all the world's a stage, it's not that much of a stretch to call it a board.

That can be fun but after a while it's nice to unwind with a good game of tic-tac-toe.

tic tac toe is an unwinnable (and unlosable) game if played with a modicum of thought.  I have never found it entertaining.

I don't much like it either but it's the only way to stop Joshua from blowing up the world.

My friends and I would play Risk, , Battleship, Stratego and Axis and Allies.

When I was in my geekier phase we would play Shadow Run and Twighlight 2000

I tried to play Axis and Allies with my wife once, it takes like 45 minutes to set up the freakin board. She tells me, this is boring. I threw it all in the box and haven't opened it since.
