Alright post up your favorite Scifi movie / game or book armor suits but no mechs

Crayven Marine from Ground control , Simple versatile effective for heavy direct combat a squad can take out heavy armor with rpgs . Unfortunately theres not alot of stats or back story on the armor or the crayven marines so all the features are unknown Here the game manual description

Infantry have always been and will always remain an important role in any army. The Crayven Marines are highly trained infantry soldiers who fight alongside terradynes carrying out special assignments. Infantry can be loaded into the Command APC for protection and transport. Their primary weapon is the Welby-Simms Dev20011 "Devastator” assault rifle, which is adequate for enemy infantry but under- powered against armored targets such as terradynes or hoverdynes.Considering the devastating firepower deployed on the battlefield, personal armor is essential. Marine combat armor is designed for maximum mobility with optimum protection and is the toughest protection available to infantry short of powered armor. The CB39 Battlesuit is composed of a fused amalgam of hardened alloys, ceramic plates and Polysteel- battleplastics formed to allow maximum maneuverability. The armor consists of a rigid exoskeletal armor covering most of the body with an undersuiting of mesh and resilient webbing to protect exposed locations such as joints, neck and the groin. A marine squad can be equipped with the RMM-9 Mortar, lobbing high-explosive grenades in a high arc towards the target or the CG-89mm Anti-tank rocket launch- er. It fires an 89mm rocket capable of defeating most tanks unlucky enough to be in its way.
Special Weapons
RMM-9 Infantry Mortar Rifle mounted mortar, capable of indirect fire with
limited blast radius. 3 charges.
CG-89mm AT Rocket Disposable Anti-Terradyne rocket capable of defeating
heavy terradyne armor. 3 charges.
Equipment
Personal Medkit
Personal medkit capable of extreme healing acceleration
repairing damaged tissues, also includes basic tools for
armor field repairs. 3 charges.
Deployable Radar Small portable radar station that once deployed relays all
tactical information to the Command APC. 1 charge

Of course got to show love for the T48 power armor from Fall out . Increased strength , fairly resilient to small arms fire and explosives not the best armor in the game but it works . The t48 armor is funny due to it being production armour but still looks like it was made by killdozers cousin

the second picture looks like a T-100 and a storm trooper had a love child...

some of the specialized storm trooper armor is cool

Heinlein's cap troop armor, the original.

John Ringo's ACS armor from the Posleen series, though they were actually too well armed for good story flow (grav rifles fired too fast).

MJOLNIR Power Armor from Halo.

And I don't care if it's made for a bunch of genetically modified super-soldiers.

Ringo's Wyverns from The Looking Glass series.

Not really "armor" in the sense that it's metal. But it is cool looking!

I'm assuming 40k is not allowed in this discussion?

In modern scifi, it is pretty hard to not like the Mjolnir series from Halo. Really just a fully enclosed, self contained powersuit.

While the old ones are great, the new stormtroopers are looking really sharp.

Idk

The problem for 40k for me is, even though it is a fantastic franchise, that it falls more along the lines with Star Wars as a space fantasy rather than pure sci-fi like Star Trek or Starship Troopers.

I think they also had a different kind of power-armor in Halo- Hruntig/Yggdrasil, I think it was- that was much better than Mjolnir and was intended for use by the regular Marines and soldiers that stupidly got scrapped in favor of the Spartan programs, despite the fact that Hrunting was far cheaper and could drastically turn the tide of battle.

Always been a fan of the Rifts SAMAS.

The Thresher Sarge powersuit from SLA Industries is badass... but very, very difficult to find a picture of online.

The SAMAS most definitely is armor.

Armor is worn over the body, whether powered or unpowered.

A mech (or mecha) is piloted robot, where the operator is encased in the vehicle. If you want to argue the Sarge could be (as in comparison to other lighter Thresher powersuits), good luck with that argument as the only consistency in SLA is that humans look like humans... usually.

Now go find yourself a d4 to jump on until you come to terms with your failure.

...or you can start arguing against the HALO power armor and MI power armor as being a mechs because retarded.

Helghast is a close second to baddest mother fucker of them all. Prophet and the Nanosuit. Super strength, speed, armor, on board supercomputer, extreme life support, oh and a CLOAK

Got to go with Battletech/Mechwarrior Elemental Power Armor, and the dozen of designs made by various factions in the post Clan Invasion arms race. It's not the fanciest stuff like the M.I suits, and it doesn't have the omg wtf bfg of the Glitter Boy from Gurps, or the coolest of the Robotech Cyclone armor, but it's imo more realistic than most concepts of power armor, and can take down a mech operating as a Clan 10 unit point, or Inner Sphere 12 man platoon.

Kidoo Keisatsu Patlabor or Patlabor: Mobile Police.
They are mechs, not armor.
But, they are cool!
