Glad they paid their fair share. As an Obama supporter and one company that helped provide information to the Obama campaign from their many users, Facebook is only claiming what is naturally theirs: special privileges.

No argument here.

However, between Facebook and Google there is near total online surveillance of the majority of the electorate.  Using their data, you can potentially understand every trend amongst voters, and subtly influence them through advertisement, both conventional and viral.  Any political organization would do well to keep them very, very happy.

I'm in small company here, but I hate the game more than the player here.  Ignoring the fact that corporate income taxes only slow growth, the multi-thousand page tax code that allows some companies to avoid the tax and others not to is the problem.

I would go into an in depth analysis but GD has too many mouth breathers.  In summary,

1.   Two different agencies and requirements
2.  Be careful what you wish for as it could hurt small business LLC's and S Corps a lot more than the big companies
3.  Be careful or you disencentivize companies from going public
4.  Etc

So your one of the people who don't think businesses should be taxed at all? Obama thanks you for getting him reelected.

We can argue all day about "fair" tax, but the bottom line is, always has been, and always will be, CEO billionaires should pay at least (for arguments sake so you can call me a commie) the same taxes that come out of my paycheck automatically.

On earned income they do, actually it will be a higher average rate, but the vast majority of their income is derived through capital gains. So it drasitcally lowers their total average rate of taxation.

This.

Guys, want your minds fucking blown? I'm a part owner in small business, has less than 100 employees. We don't know the president and aren't friends with politicians.

We don't pay any taxes. Haven't paid hardly anything in almost a decade.   We reinvest almost everything and have a high debt load. This isn't rocket science. The government wants you to reinvest money into the economy. Also has, always will. The reward is no or very little taxes.

You can give it to the government or keep spending it. We choose to spend it.

We pay property tax, payroll tax, etc. but we show a loss or close to one every year.

As a private citizen you can do the same. Invest your money and enjoy the same tax benefits. My family lives on 18k a year, that's below poverty level. I make good money but I don't bitch about the tax code, I choose to make use of it.

Despite what people think "the man" isn't holding anyone down. I came from a poor rural upbringing, I chose not to stay there.

That's not what I said now is it. But you would probably prefer to do battle with a straw man than confront your illogical, liberal ideas.

Corporate tax break does NOT equal living off the government tit.  That assumes somehow the government is giving something away for not taking more of someone else's money.  Liberal lie #1.

The next premise of your illogical argument is the presumption that I do not believe corporations should be taxed.  I never said that.  But corporations are owned by who?  People.  If you have a 401k then there is a high probability that you have an interest in a corporation. Shall we tax your investment to make it "fair" on you?  Should we take working capital from employers to pay taxes to make it "fair" to you?  Should businesses raise their prices to pay those taxes to make it "fair" to you?  You seem to have fallen deeply into the liberal lie that corporations are greedy things that exist apart from people.  Liberal lie # 2.

You seem to think that a CEO should pay the same taxes as you.  I guaranty any CEO of a Fortune 500 Company would love to pay what you pay in taxes in real dollars or in terms of your marginal tax rate. You seem to think the CEO of Ford is somehow getting a free pass while you, a working stiff, pays more than his "fair" share.   Liberal lie # 3.

Finally, the fact that you think my views are what got Obama re-elected shows you have zero common sense. My views are the antithesis of those who voted for Obama.  Your views, however, seem to be perfectly aligned with the typical Obama voter.

At this point you have to be willfully ignorant of how economics, finance, accounting, etc work to post something like this.  What is your solution.  Take into account that whatever you do to make sure Buffet pays his fair share will also punish the small S-corp and llc owners.

Corporations don't pay taxes, people do.

If Facebook reduced its profits via bonus payouts/stock options, presumably the recipient of those bonuses/stock options will be taxed.

Corporate tax rate should be zero.
