I don't know shit about it but when I saw the thread I figured I'd post it here.

Maybe one of you guys working in Minnesota or North Dakota is tired of shoveling snow and freezing his balls off.

They must be having big problems If retention is that bad.
Might help to remove the tobacco requirements.  Must have been tobacco free for 6 months prior to app.  Plus you have to live in the county or a neighboring one.  Those two would be deal killers for lots of LEOs, combined with the pay.
