MSNBC Poll:

Do you agree with former President Jimmy Carter that racism is tainting the political debate?

I'm tired of race being slung about as a reason to oppose Obama's policies.

Hit this ... Leave the link cold:

Carter makes me hate white people.

I was in high school when this jackass was President. Worst damn U.S. President in recent history. I turned 18 my senior year, just in time to help vote him out of office. I've voted every national election since.

I'll confess that I hadn't paid alot of attention to local and state elections. Until now.

I don't hate Obama because he's black. I hate him because he's an idiot.

the country is getting tired of this bullshit! next election we need to be on our toes and get the vote out for the republican party! we need a canidate young enough to relate to the youth voters who elected the great messiah into office

The only thing I have ever agreed with him on is that peanuts are good.
Link Posted: 9/16/2009 11:10:31 AM EST
Screw Jimmy Carter. He needs to go back to the peanut farm, or at least stick to habitat for humanity and mission work. He's got about as much credibility as Al Gore in my book.
Link Posted: 9/16/2009 11:10:43 AM EST
I second the vote on Peanuts!

I especially like the boiled ones you can only get at small roadside stands down south, Yum.

I miss living in Georgia.

Yes. The election of the nation's first African-American president is bringing it to the surface.

Jimmy Carter will go down in history as one of our greatest presidents. He's a man of unique and wonderful insight.

Actually we do not need full blown health care in this country.

What we do need is a vision test for those that see racism at every turn.

Did anti-Semite remarks?
Link Posted: 9/16/2009 11:34:00 AM EST
I am not even sure that many people realize the things they say are based on racism - it is so ingrained. Sad.

This my freinds is a real sheep. And there are herds and herds and herds of them roaming around the country.

I guess I'm racist because I said that though right?
Link Posted: 9/16/2009 11:36:25 AM EST
Racist?

If you're on the losing side and you're on the ropes, you're damned right it's racist!

When in doubt, play the race card.

I disagree as much now with almost everything that Carter believes in and stands for as I ever did.

I can proudly state for the record that I voted for his opponent both times that he appeared
on the POTUS ballot.

If Thomas Sowell and J.C. Watts ran on the same ticket, I'd quit my job to work on their election staff/committee.

Does that make me a racist?

Fuck obamlamadingdong. He just don't have what it takes, regardless of the color of his skin.

Un-frickin-believable that most of the polled still agree with Carter.

On second thought - I agree that prejudice is everywhere. The left's stereotypes of everyone on the right, that is. We're just all a bunch of fat, rich klansmen, right? They sure know how to make people feel bad for doing nothing at all.

And besides - Where was all this hooplah during Thomas' confirmation? Why was it cool to caricature Condi Rice? Why are lefties way farther out there than Alan Keyes immune from the scorn he gets?

I can't handle progressives.

Hit, but I don't like how that question is worded.

It seems like it could be easily made to make the people who voted 'No' racists.

Secondly, I do agree that racism is becoming a problem in politics, but not in the way the MSM thinks.
