My friend Ben is a USAF Military Working Dog handler assigned to my unit.  He was injured in Afghanistan a few months ago when he stepped on a land mine during a mission.  He lost most of his lower left leg in the blast and his dog, Charlie, suffered broken ear drums and shrapnel wounds.  Ben is at Walter Reed now and Charlie is back at his home station.  My unit is considering retiring Charlie and if that happens Ben will adopt him.  The grand prize is an all-expense paid trip to LA and $10,000.  Please go to the link below and choose military dogs from the drop-down menu.  You will need to register but you can opt out of emails from them.  Also, you can vote every day until the contest ends.  Thank you.
