Link left cold.

Legislature to reintroduce bill allowing concealed guns on campuses.

For those who don't know Idaho has two "levels" for concealed carry. A normal which just has a background check and an "enhanced" which requires an 8 hour training class which talks about Idaho law, self-defense concepts, and a minimum of 98 rounds fired and extends reciprocity to about 5 more states. This bill would allow those with the enhanced license to carry on campus. It's bureaucratic retardedness but a step in the right direction.

MS just did this. The end result was colleges can no longer arrest students with the enhanced permit but they can expel and suspend students caught carrying.

Currently it's legal to carry on campus, it's only against the university's policies. The bill brought up two years ago had the wording in it to prevent universities and colleges from creating policy banning firearms provided you had a ccw. I haven't read the text of this bill but it I'm sure it will be similar in nature.

Hit... but that poll will win by a wide margin even without Arfcom support.   We loves us some guns here in Idaho!
