LOL I hope this is true, I remember seeing pics of these rifles and some of the bolts had huge fissures and voids in the metal.

My trash-can gun is a Norinco and I'm not one of those "if you wouldn't drink the water don't shoot the ammo" bafoons but I remember seeing the Bolt and thinking "nope nope nope, I would not hold that in my hands and fire it!!"

No worries, I do not believe the article and believe it is a fabrication. The FEDGOV would have no problem buying from a domestic manufacturer and I doubt there would be much if any cost difference at fedgov contract prices.
