Now that the shock of living in a banana republic has worn off I am left being shocked at just how cheaply the the integrity of the highest law enforcement agency in the land was sold for.

I suspect they have to ignore it, any investigation will give the left a claim that the FBI and DOJ are interfering with the election.
They can only avoid this with a video of her holding the gun standing over the body. This has all the makings of a Hollywood blockbuster. |

Did you expect anything different after the "investigations" and the recommendation to "not prosecute", which the doj promptly obliged, mostly after the meeting "to talk about grandchildren" between the parties involved?
If anyone wanted to feel like it is living in some of those African little dictatorships, this is it. |

The evidence is there for them to run with. Or would the DOJ/FBI block them if they tried ? |

Of course they do. The unelected administrative leadership of *every* government department, excepting perhaps some of the military, are chosen from the same people with the same values and have the same friends, and the same goals - not to serve their country, but themselves. If they upset that system in any way, it imperils tbeir own rise to power and that of their descendants. If not their descendants in government "service" then those in the PACs, charities, and foundations.
This is no different than any other time in history when an aristocracy came to a sharp point between doing what is right and hororable or continuing their cself serving cronyism - They will always choose expedient self protection over good. |

hmmm... take steps to verify any of the information to establish probably cause of criminal acts, then take measures to preserve any evidence, such as search warrants and subpoenas, maybe even a wiretap or two, time permitting even interview some witnesses and suspects? Nah, cant be done...impossible!
