Long time friend Ilikelegs was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer about 4 months ago.
Chemo was not very successful. His doctors have given him a year to live. He's moving back home to Tulsa with his wife to be near his family. He'll be selling his house and some guns and cans for bills but could use a hand. Legs has wanted to keep this quiet, but his latest news hits home hard. Gofundme for Ilikelegs This link was set up by his father's friend for Keith and Sony. Our friend has the normal worries but ultimately, he is a very serious Christian, so if you can add him to your prayer list it would be appreciated. Chemo was pretty rough on him, it took the last 17 hairs he had... If you can help, please do. Thank you. Txl {Title changed with approval by TxLewis - Z} |

We are in Tulsa, Keith, if you see this. If you’re in need of a ride, support, a warm meal or just an ear, we are here and happy to help. Prayers sent!

@ilikelegs prayers and nothing but the best to you and your family.

Sucks. One of the good Guys hear as I've always enjoyed reading his posts.

Fucking cancer.
I fucking hate the damned word. I didn’t even want to click on the thread when I saw TxLewis was the op. I knew it was going to one of the OGs from Texas. |

Keith's legacy will be in the friends who left before, the ones he left behind, and the photos he took along the way. If you want to see his work and the amazing places he went, and how he perceived them, check out: http://kapplemultimedia.com/ He truly loved God's creation that was the earth, more than anyone I have ever known. |

Uggh..
I liked his posts, he was fun to banter with.. I was wondering why I hadn't seen him lately. |
|
|
|
That’s terrible news.
I’ve always enjoyed his posts, especially his photography. |
|
Arfcom prayer team, assemble.
We'll be adding Keith to our prayers nightly. |
|
Gosh freaking dammit. I’m so tired of cancer…too many I know are dealing with it. Ugh.
He’s way too young. |
|
Bump and hit for a donation.
Stay in the fight @ilikelegs. It ain't over until it's over. |

Same thing that got my neighbor, a retired Army LTC. Fought it for 2 years, and in the end chemo took all his strength.
DAMMIT CANCER, FVCK YOU |
|
I'm pretty cash poor right now, but I wish him and his family nothing but the best.
F!@k cancer! |
|
He is a great guy. I met him at the last Hun Farm shoot. I'll pitch in as soon as I can. |

Sorry for my late reply to this thread.
I sleep a lot and don't have a lot of energy and we had my parents don't this weekend. I'll start of with saying if you have a spare $500 around, might work in getting a CT scan of your abdominal area if your 40+ and up. My hell journey started off by getting in shape for an upcoming Utah trip. Was having issues with my hips. Saw a specialist and he gave me some potent anti-inflammatories. After two months I am developing bad stomach pains. My doctor and I think it's an ulcer and treat it as such. But pain becomes so bad I check into the ER. They do a CT scan of chest and abdomen and that's how I find out I have stage 4 cancer. While I was lost in the system of looking for an oncologist for over a month, the pain put me in the ER 4 more times and a ride in an ambulance. I could write all night of just how much of a PITA finding a good Oncologist. But will just share some more of the treatment I have had to go through. The chemotherapy was one of the most aggressive approaches my oncologist felt at the time, Later I can share how 3 other oncologist just considered me a lost cause...The reactions I had were over the top vomiting and nausea. My feet had become very swollen and the pain for this focused on my two right toes. When it flared up, felt like fire and you just had to take it. A few weeks ago we thought I might toes these two right toes. The skin had become black like they were frost bitten. I am still seeing a foot specialist but I get to keep the toes. There were many other reactions, but point is, after all that hell from the chemo, she stops the treatment and we go to immunotherapy. But just three weeks later the stomach pains are back again and so we have a very frank talk with oncologist about how aggressive this is and how log I have. I've felt that time question had been avoided a few times but this time she lets me know patients in my position have about a year longer to go. So now we know why the other oncologists blew me off. Edited to add: I was at 235 lbs in the beginning, went as low as 175lbs, current back up to 185. God can change time and do the healing but right now it's all in his hands. I wont give up trying other alternative approaches if the immunotherapy is all the OC feels is left to do. I just had this all hit me Wednesday so I am still processing. I very much appreciate the well wishes, Prayers and the help. I hope to make the journey long and defy the time I was told. And Believe God can change everything. -Legs |

As someone who has been there with a terminal stage 4 diagnosis, I can relate and am happy to talk to him if he needs.
I’m 2.5 years cancer-free, and it spread to my liver. He is in my prayers. |
