I wish that video had the full profile of the guy standing.  Then by the distance of the mag to the ground I could tell you about how long that reload took via (-16)(t^2).

Is this the video of the gamer who depends on the mag release and lack of friction to work 100%, dosen't tug on the mag to make sure it is seated, and drops the slid with the release instead of with the left hand over the top?

Bare minimum 2x as long as that.

Thats one of the top guys on Glocks competition shooting team. He was on Mail Call once. He is fast as hell.

Great competition type reload. The guy is supposedly a LEO for like the US Parks Service.

In training now, state of the art is to "strip" the magazine from the gun. Not just let it fall free. Murphy shows up in combat too, if your mag EVER hangs it will be then.

Next, he looks down at the gun as he is reloading, although he keeps the gun up near upper chest level. In combat, you keep looking at the threat, or where the threat was last seen. You may also want to move.

I could probably go on. His video is a good example of smooth = fast. But as far as doing what he does in "combat"........... there are differences.

If somebody wants to host it (or knows a link to where it's already hosted), I've got the video of the guy emptying an 8-shot revolver in a second flat and doing six shots, a reload, and six shots in 2.99 seconds.

Hmm...I think I  need to set up some targets to start practicing.  But, seriously, what's the scoop on this guy?

Lumpy, you may want to check these out.  Castle is fast, but I'm not sure if that technique makes a hole lot of sense.  For one thing, I think it would make it hard to shoot on the move.  Just my .02.

As the the first guy... he sure was in  a hurry to get his gun put away.  They find guys like that dead with 3 rounds downrange and their weapon in its holster.

Don't worry Lumpy, no one is worried that you'll get caught up in some fad.  Just thought I'd share something I'd read a long time ago.
