In before teh butthurt "they had a support team"

Is entertaining, and you get to find out which one of Charlie and Ewan you'd like to leave at teh bottom of a well, and who'd go shoot M60's with you.

I liked Long Way Round better than Long Way Down.

I found it interesting that KTM bailed on them at the last minute because they thought they would fail. I was so waiting for the "F- YOU KTM" as they arrived into New York.

The support team did not actually have an easy go either.

I liked the series a lot. Pretty cool.

Ewan has hosted some other neat shows on Netflix also. He seems like a pretty good guy.

The real bad thing about these shows is the desire that they put in you to get a BMW motorcycle.

Check out Fastest on Netflix.  Amazing film.

I watched both when they first aired, great shows.

Obi wan and Mordred seem like good dudes. I'd love to ride with them.

If you like those movies, I recommend One Man's Island
DVD

It is about a guy selling everything to race the Isle of Mans before he dies. Great story.

There was talk of "Long Way Up", from either Chile or Argentina, up to AK.  Don't think financing, or schedules worked out.

All from finding this on Netflix two months ago it led to myself and a friend to buying bikes and already planning a cross country trip for May. We have already done a small 6 day trip to Key West and back.

Watching it for the 3rd time. Eff KTM for backing out on them, must suck to give your competitior that much free publicity.

I know they were horribly overloaded but the frame cracks bother me on those 1200's.

And in Long Way Down a rock kicks up and takes out the sidestand sensor?(the fix was pretty cool though) I know theyre tough bikes but they seemed to have way too many problems. I would have thought for sure they'd have more than one flat tire.

Awesome. I'm thinking of doing a Mexico to Canada run around May.

They were way overloaded. Which implies the support vehicles didn't support that much and that they carried too much stuff. The kickstand switch applies to so many bikes!

Charley is a cool dude. he came through AFg while I was there. Talked a few hours in a chow hall about both Long Ways, and other riding stuff. genuinely cool down to earth guy.

Just finished Around and started Down.  Very cool documentary OP, I had no idea it was made and probably wouldn't have.  I'd love to do something like that on a smaller scale.  And it reignited my want for a Adventure style bike again.

Thanks for the tip.  Faster and Fastest were excellent.  This looks to be too.

Someone told me about these when I was driving around the US.  I love these documentaries.  I'm inspired and will keep on adventure riding.

Third movie sans McGregor but with everyone else is "Race to Dakar". Pretty cool documentary of the 06 Dakar rally. not sure it's on netflix though.
