Fucking news. I wish people could see/hear more of the real tragedy thats happening down there. Maybe a little wake up call. I wonder how long it will take for the rael stories to trickle into the media on a national level. I saw an ABC report earlier about rapes and 6 dead in the Astrodome, now nothing. Dateline is all about relief efforts and why did it take the gov so long... The real story is WHY are american citezens acting in this manner after a crisis?! Now that's something we as America needs to look at.

I started telling my boss about some of the things I read here, and heard on the streaming
scanner feeds.  Boss accused me of being missinformed.  

Chopper taking fire.
Rapes/murders at superdome
looters roaming the streets with firearms out in the open.

She thought I was making stuff up.

I printed out CNN, AP, FOX online news updates, and she ate her words.
She freaked out at how bad things really were, and that the TV/radio
isn't keeping the public informed.

Ya, they just briefly mention these things on the national news, no-one but us news junkies who alraedy have our alternate, reliable souces ever seem to catch it

I think it was the SuperDome actually.  The AstroDome's the one in Texas, right?  Well, that's where they're moving everyone so I don't think they've had time to rape and kill each other yet.  Wouldn't surprise me though, unfortunately.
