Nope. In fact, the last stripped lower I bought, the seller asked me to "name a serial number I wanted." I didn't have any specifics, didn't want anything special. He couldn't believe it. "Don't you want your birthday or something?"

No, but I got a S&W 442, 2nd Amendment Commerative Model, with serial number 1776!!
That's the gun that came to the FFL when I ordered it. Now, that's what I'm talkin' about!!

couple times when the fun shop had 2 identical guns, for one reason or another the serial number of one said "pick me"

no, not really. Unless you count preban cutoff numbers, then yes. I would however love to get a pistol or AR with my last 4 on it as the serial, that would be cool.
