If you haven't, you're missing out. If you haven't learned how to dance to it, you're really missing out. I never thought I'd feel like this, but man, I'm telling ya', polka music is fun stuff!!!!

I played polkas for five years while acquiring a Mus.B. Playing Chick a dee dee polka each and every night to a bunch of drunken idiots is more than I could bear.

Polka is to music as dancing is to architecture.

I dated a hot polish girl for a year or so. I went to a wedding with her - lots of good food and nice people but ugh! The non-stop accordians!

I learned to polka years ago, but I can't keep up with those old hardcore Germans and Poles during Octoberfest. 11 years ago we went to a place after our 5th high school aniversary, and I got dragged out on the dance floor. We almost got trampled!

I hate polka! It's all you hear at block parties and other events here. There are still hundreds of first generation Germans and other Eastern/Central Europe folks in my town that love it.

ETA: Has anyone ever heard Mexican "country" music? It sounds exactly like polka!

I sometimes crank up some polka at the office for the purpose of irritating others, but I find myself enjoying it (not just because it irritates others, either). I believe it's genetic.

Nothing better than a small town celebration, a beer garden and Polka music

I lived in Milligan, Ne when I was in 5th grade. I played drums in the school band. It was a polka band.

Only listened to it during school when they made us dance.

For that reason, I will never listen to it again
