your scar or the site of the surgery hurts later on in life?

I had a hernia operation about 13 years ago and for some reason the scar site is hurting today. WTF? same thing happened about 2 weeks ago.

Yes.  I had arthroscopic surgery on my left hip almost 4 years ago and every now and then there will be a bit of discomfort to slight, if any pain in the general area where the scars are.

I cut open a finger a year ago and recently the scar has become sensitive to pressure. It's done it before, and should go away in about a week.

Thats what I thought too... I was even thinking it was triggered when my van was in the shop so I had to drive my truck (lots of manual shifting) that could have caused the pain... havent picked up anything heavy either.

Bizarre.

I have a small scar that is sensitive sometimes.  I thought about cutting it out, but that would just make a new bigger scar.

My stomach hurts sometimes, and my bellybutton is there. Does that count as surgery?

It is scar tissue under the skin.  It's probably attached itself to another set of tissue and you are pulling on it.  I have an ass full of scar tissue in my knee and eevery once and a while, it feels like I am getting stab by a soldering iron when the scar tissue is torn.

look into prolotherapy. The inject sugar water into tissue that doesn't heal to facilitate healing. Along with that they inject the scars to relieve them of pain on a perm basis.

I've got a scar on my index finger where I had a few stitches as a kid.

If I poke the scar with a pencil just right I end up with the same feeling you get when you whack your "funny bone" in your arm.

Yes.  I have 6 of these little gems in my shoulder.  They are small, about the size of a screw in eyeglasses, and made of titanium, but when the weather changes I feel them ache.

I endured repeated surgery on my feet/ankles from 4 weeks old to 12 years old to correct SEVERE clubbed foot.  I honestly have no basis of comparison to a "normal" sensation.
I've had "built-in barometers" as long as I can remember, and arthritis from hip to toe (due to mis-alignment of the joints) from about 18 to the present.   Two incision sites in particular are troublesome because once every year or so the scars litterally seem to reject themselves and fall out.

Yes. I am 27 years old and when I was 1 year old, I had a hernia operation.  It still aches in that area sometimes.

Have you done exercises/workouts to bring it back up to par strength?

I have a scar from having my appendix removed at age 9.  Ever since I get hives, or itchy bumps on the scar for no apparent reason.  They used disolving stiches to close the incision.  The only thing I can think of is that there is something left from the stiches causing the problem.  I am now 43 years old and have had this problem ever since the incision site healed.  At this point in my life I am used to it.

I had a circumcision when I was young. Now that area is sensitive all the time. (No fooling, regardless of the weather or anything else.)

Makes you wonder WHY THE FUCK would people WANT elective surgery for cosmetic reasons. I had one customer that had facelift after facelift after facelift... (Very well known to the Orange County CA population) She was so into her cosmetic shit that she ended up dead on the operating table during a "routine" surgery.

Only time I wanna see a hopital is for the birth of my kids and MUCH later the birth of my grandkids.

THATS IT!
