Left my old job 2 years ago and thought I would never look back.
I really enjoy what I do, always have.

Parted  company and didn't burn the bridge.

Out of the blue my old boss started texting me late Sunday night wanting me to come back.
After 3 days of back and forth he won. I start back in the morning.

Corvette or Camaro ?

I'm leaning towards Corvette but the wife says COSTCO so it might be Camaro.

Tell your wife when she goes to work and does your job for you she can then pick out your car.

Depends if you want to grow a mullet and hang out in high school parking lots or get a middle aged gut and loiter in the left lane at 65 mph with an AT.

My wife is a stay at home wife, after 5 grandkids she has earned it.
She's 65 years old and is quite fine with whatever vehicle I bring home.

Are you OK with that ?

I don't think it will be a 1LE, but a 2SS or comparable will work.
I will only be allowed to put 6000 miles on it before it is grounded and put up for sale as a demo.
They are a fucking HOOT to drive tho..

Lol, that wasn't an insult.  You stated you'd rather have the vette, but you might have to settle for the Camero cause thats what your wife wanted you to get.

I offered you a solution. Sac up.

It sounds like "get both" will really work in this situation.  The real question is which one first? I'm assuming you are going to work for a Chevrolet dealer; do you have to pick one that is in stock or can you order it? I've always wanted a Corvette but am way too cheap to buy one so that would be my choice.

Nawww I'm just giving it back.

Problem with the Vette is my driveway.
I can ease it in but it's a PITA, they are quite low.

But the Camaro might make me look like a wannabe thug.

Actually the ergo's for getting in and out of them are pretty much the same.

Vision is actually better in the Corvette, imagine that.

The Vette is superior in every way.  Except leg room.  Amazing car.  Awesome ride, vision, etc.

We have a nice ZL1 Camero sitting on the lot and I sat in it today.  Was not impressed.  Can't see shit.  The doors are too high.  But it does have more leg room than the Vette

I would be worried about fucking up a demo.  Drive a vette home and see how it goes up the drive way.  That will make the decision for you.

That's part of my concern.
Last thing I want is to eat the blame for fucking up a chin spoiler.
I have brought Corvettes home from time to time and always had to be extra cautious about bringing it in to my driveway.

But, Corvette !

You can fit a decent quantity of groceries in the back of a Corvette, or weekend luggage for two. The approach and departure angles are surprisingly good for such a low car also. Get the vette.

Rented a Camaro the last time we were in Hawaii.  It was a lot of fun!  Felt like a pretty decent car (That had been rode hard and put up wet being a rental...).  We did the "rental agency picks the car" option since it was the cheapest and the two cars they offered us were a Corvette and a Camaro.  Couldn't fit our bags in the Corvette...  And it wasn't a convertible and the GF wanted a convertible.  But we drove the piss out of it for a week.  It was fast, handled great, stopped great and had a usable trunk even with the top down.

Why does Costco have a say in what car?

You're old - this means Corvette.

Besides, a Bitchin' Camaro has a huge markup so it'll cost the same as a Corvette.

The Vette is the only GM vehicle made since about 1974 or so that's worth buying.
