As much time as you spend here, I will bet you have done this once or twice.

One time, a friend was telling me a funny story, and when he was done I actually said 'W00t!

Please, somebody respond that they have done the same - don't leave me hanging here people!

My brother says "LOL," "Loll," (pronouncing it as a word instead of acronym) "Roffle," and "teh" an awful lot.

I hate him so goddamn much.

Just to annoy my friends, whenever they tell me something is cool, I always say,

"Is it so cool, that it's... kewl?"

I've never said "Woot" and I've never typed "W00t" (errhhh... until now, that is). Sorry.

The Colonel I work for sent me a email asking that my attendance is required in one of our conference rooms. I almost replied back, Tagged.

I've said "brb" to my mom...but she knows what I mean...and she says it to me sometimes.

Once at work somebody dropped a bomb of a comment in a meeting and as I wandered away I said

"In before the lock"

but it didn't make any sense sense I was evacuating the room so as not to be associated.........

Hey, I thought it was pretty damn funny!

If I do its done purposely.. I heard some kid actually start talking '1337' in a conversation and I just started incoherently saying just about every internet acronym I could think of while staring at him.. 'ROFL LIKE HI2U HAWHAHW LAWL' and so on until he felt really stupid.

I'm still stuck back in FIDO, CAPCOM, and FUBAR
Link Posted: 9/28/2004 5:59:42 PM EDT
whenever I say berightback it's always like "beriback" It's a mumbling sort of like "BRB" Not much of internet lingo but the internet is what caused me to start saying it like that.
Link Posted: 9/28/2004 6:01:19 PM EDT
i say "brb" every now and then, but most of the people i say it to know what it means.
Link Posted: 9/28/2004 7:27:51 PM EDT
I've used "owned" and "woot" in conversation. Only with younger guys though, and they seemed to know what I meant.
Link Posted: 9/28/2004 7:40:35 PM EDT

Guilty as charged - especially in written correspondence. Doubly so in e-mails, since I am at the computer and on the internet and it just feels the same as here. I have been known to draw a smiley on hand-written letters. Also, on wingdings font, I believe "J" is a smiley face.

When someone says something funny, With ZERO emotion and a straight face I calmly say the word LOL repeatedly while looking right at them.

I've said "I'd hit it!" before. Just yesterday, a friend of mine was telling me about some girl he picked up on his way back from TJ. I told him that the next time he's with her, be sure to stick her in the pooper and post the pictures.
