Here's the story of two American Airlines Flt. 11 stewardesses, who most likely had their throats slit while trying to bar the hi-jackers' entry into the cockpit!

There are going to be numerous stories like this in the days and weeks ahead.  I think most people are pretty emotionally numb right now from the shear magnitude of this attack.  But as the stories come out, I think we'll find ourselves increasingly emotionally drained.  When you think about children whose parents didn't come home yesterday, or parents waiting for a child at LAX, it's going to take its toll.  Hopefully our carefully calculated and executed response to the attack will restore us in some small way, though it will never make up for what we have lost.
