After watching his documentary, which is actually a good story, I hope this isn't true.
Not trying to defend this guy but if you watch the doc Finding Elmo, you'll learn that he want to be a puppeteer since he was a little boy and would make his own puppets and put on shows since he was very young. Before he probably was old enough to know what a pedophile was. Doing puppets with frank oz and Jim Henson was this guys dream. He didn't get into it to tickle kids privates.
