Sweet dreams.

But we don't talk about those things.

Hyundai and Kia recall nearly 3.4 million vehicles due to fire risk and urge owners to park outdoors

This one was only two months ago.

Hyundai and Kia are recalling nearly 3.4 million vehicles in the U.S. and telling owners to park them outside due to the risk of engine compartment fires.

The recalls cover multiple car and SUV models from the 2010 through 2019 model years including Hyundai's Santa Fe SUV and Kia's Sorrento SUV.

We never should have gotten away from the dilithium crystals. I saw this coming.

Last year I bought a lithium battery for my camper. Wanted to move it off the tongue to the inside.  I went camping a few weeks ago and while getting ready a few days before I noticed a weird sorta plastic-ish/burnt wire smell. Lifted the panel to where the battery and electric was and there was my battery,  or rather a oddly misshapen and melted down battery.  The compartment got so hot during the thermal runaway event it melted the pex pipe ten inches away, burnt two burn marks in the floor yet did not burn the camper to the ground in the driveway. Crazy times. Made me rethink the lithium thing.
