Besides chat and file sharing, I used irc a long time ago to find Battlefield 1942 server addresses.  What are other uses for irc-related clients, and do any of you use it on a regular basis?

MP3s (not so much any more though), and just chat. Anymore, it's primarily used by geeky types like me. So, it's a nice way to find other computer guys to talk shop with.
