I've been here for 5 years.

Surprisingly, this is the first quake that I have actually felt.

Nothing big..... just doing my part to provide ARFCOM news, seconds after it happens.....

Ever since the Northridge earthquake she is scared to death every time she feels the slightest rumble.

Sharp jolt, lasted maybe a couple of seconds.

I am in the San Gabriel Valley, 5 miles east of Los angeles.

Cali is still on the map.

Come back and post when you are treading water.

I was woken up by the Northridge quake in '94, but promptly fell back to sleep as soon as the shaking stopped...I was in Lancaster

I'm not a native Californian, but I was in San Francisco for Loma Prieta in 1989

Everytime I've ever been to Cali I felt quakes.

Damn earthquakes just keep teasing me.  When will CA finally break away from the rest of the US?

Don't worry about us, we will be fine. I have survived many So. Calif quakes. We will always be around to annoy you folks in the rest of the US. The folks in the Midwest should be away there is a earthquake fault real close to you guys.

Born and raised in Cali til I moved in '91-can you say Loma Prieta in '89? I grew up just outside Salinas so I was DAMN close to the epicenter

No time to waste. Better put half your ammo at one end of the house and the rest at the other end, just in case. Kids too, come to think of it.

I was out in San Fran about 8-10 years ago doing some contract work for a couple of months when about a 5.0 hit.  I slept right through it but everyone back home in GA started calling me thinking I was buried in some rubble(thank you FOX and CNN).  I guess it had something to do with being hung over and not appreciating their concerns at 6am in the morning.

I don't mind quakes like that out here, but I was sure nervous wandering around all those old brick buildings in Petersburg, VA.

And no didn't feel that one.
