I dont like the early voting thing that much the more I think about it.

Its going to make it easier for people who cant remember when election day is to vote.

Whats your opinions.

It beats voting often

I don't like it. If the state wanted to add an extra day, that's fine, but two weeks is too much for shennanigans to go on. It's bad enough with one day.

Well, I'm biased, `cause I'd not get to vote this year if it hadn't been for absentee voting... `cause right now I'm in S. Korea... and that's a ways from the voting booth in Ohio.... and won't be back until LATE on the 3rd.

So I like that it's an option... but I know what you're saying....

But then I CAN be an intelligence snob ;)

I understand the point if your not going to be around to vote, I mean people voting a week or 2 early just becuase they wont have to get out on the 2nd.

Bad because it allows more time for using aliases etc. It's harder to vote 3x in an evening because you could be recognized by someone or have to wait in line 3x. If you have a week it's easier. If they require photo ID then I would have no problem with it.

Can't decide (good or bad). Have my Absentee in-hand, but want to vote in person, but working the polls outside my own precinct on election day, and spending my breaktime during a 14hr workday standing in line to vote would suck ass. And almost as much as casting a provisional ballot where I'll be working. Gotta make up my mind tomorrow today and Get. It. Done.

It's a good thing. I live in a crowded area, and voting on voting day is a nightmare. It's all well and good for somebody that lives in a rural area to say you should have to "work" to vote, but when you have to stand in line waiting for a bunch of 80 year old carpetbaggers to shuffle around and run the polling place, it becomes a disaster area. I'm hoping to get to the polls tomorrow for early voting.

Good: makes it easier for people who work for a living to vote. Around here the polls are open from 7AM to about 8PM. I know people who are at work from 7AM to close to 8PM on election day. Lines on election day can be 1-2 hours.

Bad: makes it easier for the Dems to do their "knock and drag" get out the vote efforts.

It gives all the losers who normally would never leave their neighborhood except to go to a check cashing place or to buy beer and smokes, a couple weeks to get to a polling place or get driven there. These "voters" would never get there if they had to be there during a 12 hour window on a specific day.

I hate it.
