I am aware of E-Bay's policy on firearms, but I though I could sell an AR-15 tactical sling without any trouble. WRONG-Got a letter saying my sling violated there policy because it fit an AR-15 which was an assault rifle. I wrote back and informed them that M-16's are assault rifles and AR-15's are not. Also told them where to shove their web site from now on. They wrote back and said they couldnt figure out why I was upset that my money for the posting had been refunded. So I wrote them back and told them to DROP DEAD. Blocked them from ever sending me another e-mail. Their policys are there business where I spend my money is my business. I will not buy a damn thing there or sell anything again on their NAZI auction.

Do they sell Nazi 'memorabilia'?
Link Posted: 9/16/2004 7:13:53 PM EST
I sold some Pre-Ban USGI and Glock mags there. I'm going to try and sell Kerry and Edwards devil spawn next.
Link Posted: 9/16/2004 7:21:29 PM EST
Because the traffice level sucks, and the prices are such that it is almost impossible to get a good deal like you used to get on pre-ban days of Ebay. I agree with the "airsoft" titles. I have gotten some stuff since their ban days that way. What do you expect from the fatazz soccer mom who owns it (I saw a show that told me that).

Take a crap in a zip lock and see if they will sell that ! Just kidding

I put my Beta-C on ebay aver a year ago.

They yanked it in under 30 min, sent me a nastygram of how it was not PC on thier board. Some socker mom/liberaltree huggin/PETA/ELF reject must have reported it after cringing seeing it.

Gunbroker has had my biz after that and ever since. If the Ebay's board of director had his teeth on fire, I would not stop to piss the fire out in his mouth.

Yep used to buy things off ebay daily but got kicked off twice I even tried the airsoft idea on some hk scope mounts but no go still ended them and booted me off. You can get by with it for about 10 times though before they do anything. Now I only use gunbroker and A.A. sometime

It is all in the wording. With the right "keywords" they will be found by the people who know what they are.
You could even list it as "only fits non-working toys" and the bidder will know better.

Was able to list high capacity mags a while ago by just saying it only holds 5 rounds.

The people who run Ebay are not Nazis. They banned the sale of anything with a swastika long before they banned gun parts sales.

Ebay's policy does suck, but the real problem are the self appointed Ebay police. Let's face it, Ebay probably found out about you auction from some narc. That is what pisses me off.

I listed a "model 20" magazine, and specifically listed in the Ad I would not ship to Kalifornistan. Some Kali Ebayer e-mailed me with a question why I wouldn't sell the mag if it was legal to list. A day later, I get cancelled. You probably got narced on like I am sure I did.

Yup. Just did a simple seach under Nazi and found "1832 items found for nazi".
I looked and it was all WW2 stuff.

I don't like their policy either, but it IS THEIR WEBSITE, and they can do with it what they please. We do still believe in the right of individuals to run their businesses as they see fit, don't we?

Ebay is located in the PRK...

EBAY INCORPORATED
2145 Hamilton Avenue San Jose CALIFORNIA 95125
Phone: +1 408 376-7400

...so that might explain the "reluctance" to show hi-caps, etc. for sale. BTW, Ebay is a publicly held company (EBAY), but the officers have the right to set whatever policies they deem appropriate for the company, and let the chips fall where they may. If you don't like it, take your business elsewhere...that's what gunbroker.com is for...

You have to know how to play the game and bend their rules.

Just mention airsoft about five times in your ad.
