Guy should have gone into why you don't shoot mild steel. Some uniformed shooter may take this vid the wrong way.

there was carbine class here in south florida, they posted pics on their fb page.

instructor was shooting from cover, the cover was a steel dumpster.

Long time ago.. I learned the hard way when the jacket decided it wanted to come back. Stung the chest, but no penetration.

Mild steel target or bi-metal bullet? He did say the target was AR500.

Yah, but you would already have to know why that's important in order to see it's significance.

Shot myself in the dick once shooting at a old junk in the woods. It hurt like a bastard but left no permanent damage.

3/8 mild steel plate, with a xm193 round.. put a hole in the plate, but the jacket decided to come back..
