FBI has reportedly characterized bulk food buying as a “potential terrorist activity.”

At least he didn't die in a single vehicle accident.

This was discussed a while back, some people defended him on the basis that he was targeted only for criticizing Obama while being a prepper and others said he basically screwed himself for being a prior felon.

I absolutely love obama. He's dreamy.

I'm surprised they didn't "find" kiddie porn as well

More reason to do away with "ex-felons/felons" losing their rights.

The man paid his debt with jail time, he is square with the house.

Or committing suicide by shooting himself in the back of the head multiple times.

I feel the same way, either you have paid your debt to society, or you have not. What was the felony drug charge, a bag of weed when he was 19 years old. Really?

This. I also own no guns, have only soy sauce packets in my pantry, and have no dog to shoot.

Weird article is weird.

I didn't see a threat against the president, only criticism of his re-election.
So does that mean that ~50% of our country are considered potential threats (those that didn't vote for dear leader)?
Shit, just this board alone would keep the USSS and the FBI busy for years if criticism of Obama is now considered terrorism.
Also funny that they tried to tie him to the TV show when reality is he had nothing to do with it.

As far as the felon with guns thing, I am in the "paid your debt, regain your rights" camp.
If he did something so bad that he cannot be trusted with firearms, he should not be free.

What about felony child molesters? Are they square with the house once they get out?

Apart from sexual deviants, or people whom have shown to habitually pray on othersI would agree with this.

No. Their punishment should be a bullet to the head.

They discovered that once they decided to start investigating this guy

"While this was not illegal, the investigation led police to the discovery that Porter had a 1992 felony"

Wow, all of that from the guy saying he's very irritated? That's extremely scary if true.

Edit: the background check came after the initial investigation started based off the article. Once again if true that's extremely scary.

Well if that doesn't reinforce the prepper community's actions, I don't know what does. Meanwhile, repeat felon Orangelo Brown in Philly is waving his AK in the air like he just don't care.

They were trying to avoid another Waco.

I just got this image in my mind of the DEA, FBI and the BAFTE putting their hands together and saying "With our powers combined...."

http://www.wjla.com/articles/2012/11/maryland-state-police-remove-firearms-from-sharpsburg-home-suspect-not-found-82598.html

There were a bunch of law enforcement agencies nearby doing practice raids as part of training to when they heard about this they all piled on top.

Sounds like they were all a little too anxious and chomping at the bit to raid somebody's "domestic terrorist" home

The simple answer to this is we need to bring back executions for heinous crimes rather than letting scum rot in prison for their entire lives on our dime or be let out and potentially hurt someone else.

"Hey I heard on the radio some prepper guy has a shotgun and he's a felon nearby"
"Let's all go over there and get in on that raid. Alex Jones will shit his pants."
"Ha ha they'll be bitching about this on the internet for years"
"Swing by Arby's Frank"

Bulk food buying as recommended by FEMA and the DHS.

Maybe we need to register our Preps with the .gov.

...the anonymous tip claimed Terry Porter was “getting crazier and crazier” because he was stockpiling “10 to 15 machine gun-style firearms” at his home...

How much is the tax stamp on that?
