OK, this looks like some B rated cowboy movie with everyone 'hip shooting', Now, can someone 'splain to me just what it is "Bumpin" is? Or how it is accomplished?

I too learned the bump at the TX shoot today.

Got instructions from the masters.  The bump is simply a way to hold the rifle/trigger in a combination that alows for simulated full auto fire.

Hence, emptying a mag, and turning money into noise.

Man, I finally got it down with my AR.  Never could get it to work well past triples with the AK.

But then, until yesterday I was a bump virgin.

Gee, if you guys would have asked, I could have shown you how to empty a 30 rounder with only one pull of the trigger.[:(]

One thing I learned... being left handed and bumping sucks.

Leaves you with some nice burns on the left arm, from the hot brass bouncing off as it leaves the action.

Note to self... long sleeves next time.

PS... when the Mini-14 comes out... DUCK.

Yeah, that was me trying it right-handed with the AK.

As usual, I cannot do anything right handed!

Yep, not a good idea to bump as a lefty.  Unless you turn the gun upside down.  Then the brass will fly the other way.  [:o)]

You can bump lefty with no problem.   I do it all the time.

DonR is very generous with trigger time on his little beauty.

...just so long as you understand that it's gonna be YOUR ammo that you're burning up at 30 rounds/second...

I got to shoot it at the get together in Decatur last month, and I did some damage to some evil Taliban bowling pins with nice, controlled 2-3 round bursts.

In time we will condition FALARAK to be right handed.  We may have not hit anything doing the bump but I have never seen so many guys grining ear to ear all at once before.  RedGoat is my new hero.

Sure you were, you were killing worms.  Most people I see who do the bump have a few shots go about 15 feet in front of themselves. [:P]

Well, yes, and no.  We were killing alot of worms, but, I promise, with practice you can actually hit with/control the point of impact during bump firing.

I have a tree on my property that is a permanent testament to the accuracy of bump firing. 25+ holes in a man sized tree from 20+ yards, bump fired.

And when you are really good, you can fool the Class 3 folks with the sound of your bumping.  Ask Mojo                                                                                     [:O]

Sure you may have a couple of jams in 100 rounds but it will work.
