He just showed up at the house a little over a year ago. Border Collie mix is my best guess. Better pics...

I thought pugs were the most annoying ugliest dogs in the world till I owned one, now they are one of the best breeds ever.

Lab is #1, then pug, then border collie, then boston terrorists.

Well I can't post a pic because the wife unit directed me to give my digital camera to our daughter because she wanted the daughter to take some pictures of her little boy. I will say that the two female chihuahuas that my daughter left us when she left for grad school are not bad little dogs really. I always had GSDs and Dobermanns when I was younger but I have grown attached to my two adopted chihuahuas. What was I going to do? Put them out on the street? I think not! I don't roll that way with pets. When I get one (pet), it has a good home "til death do us part." Yes, they (chihuahuas) follow you around and they are most happy when the wife and I are together in one room where they can keep an eye on both of us at the same time.

I will say this. One of our chihuahuas is VERY protective. If she were a 75-pound dog, she would be an excellent PD dog - as good as my GSDs and Dobermanns were in their day. She would not hesitate to give her life to protect us or our home. Unfortunately, at eight pounds soaking wet, there is only so much she can do.

Oh, yes, the daughter also left us a 15 year-old black female cat named Onyx. She is a very sweet old cat too and can still jump and play like a kitten and has perfectly healthy teeth and gums. Hell, she may outlive the chihuahuas for all I know. They are both 11 years-old (chihuahuas) and still going strong.

If only my long-dead GSDs and Dobermanns could see me now, what would they think of these tiny little dogs and an old black cat running around the house?

Oh, and all of my pets, whether adopted or not, get best quality food, good warm beds, excellent vet care including annual checkups and general TLC - in the best ARFCOM tradition. Hell, we don't have any little kids to care for any more. Might as well spend the money on something

We only have one pup in the house, and he's a pup from a pair of pups we have outside. His dad is pure Border Collie, his mom is half Australian Shepherd and half Black Lab.

He is turning out to be a VERY good puppy. He's even 3 months old today. :) He was born June 12th, 2010.
