Also, I think there are rules regarding having to wash seven times if touched by a dog. So, that would probsably seal the deal in Muslims generally not owning dogs View Quote Except lots of them do? |

From what I understand it's one of those things that varies based on sect and interpretation. However it seems the large majority now are anti dog. I believe there are positive accounts of dogs in the Koran as well.

No pics, but lots of RoPers have pets. They're usually outside dogs, though and you sure as hell won't find them in beds or on couches! Plus, no licking. Except for peanut butter or labneh you know where.

@Johnson
Once again, I'm seei things western only. Our idea of pet is skewed as like having furry children. Makes sense what you are saying. Thank you |

The subject of dogs is one thing Islam is absolutely correct about. Keeping a dog as a pet, to me, is as disgusting a habit as smoking pot indoors every day or getting throw-up drunk on the regular. A home with a dog inside is absolutely unlivable, and you're all mentally ill because you don't see it.
Fuck dogs. |

Some own dogs. They are cat people for the most part.
Not a fan of dogs myself. Not really ideal pets. |

From living and working in Iraq, Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia, the reason I was given that they do not like dogs is the following;
Mohamed and his buddies were hiding to ambush a village or some travelers (I can't remember which) and a dog started barking giving away their position and a bunch of Mohamed's butt buddies got killified and Mohamed barely escaped. So dogs are now bad. On the whole most of them regardless of country treated dogs pretty shitty. |

The way people treat a dog speaks volumes. Our retarded president bragged about eating one.
