I have heard suggestion many times and have done it every morning for years. My feet look like a baby's bottom, no fungus. I first heard this when I was stationed on a boat, of course we used to bleach the shower stalls on a daily basis so that killed most of the nasty stuff anyway. Anybody else heard of this ? Does urine prevent foot fungus ?

Yeah I know the jelly fish thing as well. We were riding around drinking beer about ten years ago and I cut my thumb opening a rusty gate. Having a full bladder I cleaned my thumb with the high pressure stream. That cut healed faster than any I have ever had before. Hail the healing power

I've also heard that pissing on your hands after performing manual labor hardens up your hands so that they don't blister and bleed as much. I don't know the truth in that though.

Not at all, every morning in the shower before I turn on the water I soak my feet in my own urine, it is mine after all. I swear it works. I had picked up some atheletes foot several years ago and it knocked it right out. Tough actin' Tinactin doesn't compare.

Yep, altho I wouldn't describe my process as "soaking my feet in my own urine", I do piss on them every day in the shower. It was some old salt advice I got from my high school coach years ago and I've never had any kind of fungus problems, altho my feet have been exposed to some abuse. I've read something about this, supposedly the ammonia does it.

I obviously only do this in my own shower, btw, not at the gym or somebody's house.

I think I have heard that, but I can't attest to its effectiveness. Along a similar line, one of my first jobs as a young buck was as a carpenters apprentice. By the end of the third day, my hands were two big blisters. The old boss there told me to toughen up my hands all I needed to do was pee on them every morning. I can't attest to the effectiveness of this one either!!

Urine is sterile, there's nothing wrong with pissing on your own feet.

It's usually pretty acidic, so I could see how it could kill fungus if it actually worked.

Stop pissing on your feet, you can use something even better. Lysol. Get out of the shower and spray it on your feet. Never had a case of athletes foot while in the Army for 10 years, stuff works great and doesn't sting or burn when sprayed on.

I seriously doubt the fungus control benefits of urine. Like someone else pointed out it is fairly sterile, and while it contains uric acid, I don't think it is in a strong enough solution to have any effect on any fungus growing on your feet. I think the truth is simple. Some people are just less prone to getting athlete's foot. But, if you want to keep peeing on yourself, by all means, continue.

Okay, some of y'all are just too far out there for me.

I work outisde most days, incuding these wonderful 95*, heat index of 110* days. I wear either sneakers or Henry work boots. I do NOT piss on my own feet. I haven't had any foot fungus problems. I think someone just wanted to make you start pissing yourself, and you fell for it.

And for those who piss in the shower... Odds are you had to walk right by the toilet to get to the shower. Are you so damn busy in your life that you can't stop to piss? If so, you need to re-evaluate when you get up in the morning by about 1 minute. That should be more than sufficient time to relieve the bladder.

Worked for me while I was in college, foot fungus came around about once a month due to there being only four shower stalls for the entire dorm floor, 3-4 days of pissing on the feet and it went away.

Urine was an active component in toothpastes and mouthwashes
until the eighteenth century! Believe it or not urine does a great
job at whitening teeth.

You could get a two for one by using it as a mouthwash
