Beretta 92A3

Got the chance to look one over at the store. Pretty nice 92 but worth the $1K price tag?

Does anyone have one?

Just too expensive.  If it was $500 I'd buy one.

I would pay $650 for one, max. Probably the best 92 variant currently on offer but I'm not a huge fan beretta 92 variants.

Give it a steel frame and a frame mounted safety. Perhaps also a barrel bushing then we will talk.

FPNI.  That's above Sig territory(Sig Fanboi, fucks not given).  I'm a buyer at $599, no more.

Now, if it was this for $1000...

I'd even pay $1000 if it was semi-auto only!

What if the price was around $700-800? Like new condition?

Definitely an improvement over the previous generations,  but meh.

Also I hate slide mounted safeties.

That's more than a $500 gun.  But you're right it's too expensive.  Maybe around $700-ish I'd bite.

In that color, no, not really.

At ~$1000, no, not really.

In black and at a more reasonable price, yeah, I'd LOVE to have one.

I wouldn't give $350 for a 92.  Much better guns on the market than that POS....Hell, a Canik TP-9SF is a far superior gun compared to the 92 and it's around $350

If that was the new price it would be a lot more attractive. I'm hoping to to find a SAO Legion used for the same money.

I don't think you can get a reasonably used 92f for $500 anymore

how is this different from the a1

They redesigned the Decocker/safety so it wouldn't be so easy to activate. Apparently quite a few people accidentally engage the safeties on these and don't know they have until it's time to shoot.

A new 92fs is around $500 so maybe $600 for the nice paint job and case, but not for $1k.

Normal Vertec frame $550-$650
Night Sights $120
Threaded barrel $110-$130
Extra checkering $80
Beveled magwell $40
Bronze anodized frame....dunno
Cerakote $80
D spring $9
3 PVD 17rd mags $90
extra hogue grip $20
New enhanced Levers....

Do the math. Of course we want it for $500 herpa derp. But be real, it's a value compared to similar shitty offerings from sig in that price range. It's an amazing firearm and happily paid the price for mine??

Did GD just learn about the M9A3?  Cute.

They are probably the best iteration of the M9 family yet.  Proposed to the DoD as an ECP to the M9 instead of the whole XM17 handgun bugaboo.

Beretta promised them to the civ/le market regardless of the mil adoption, and they made good on it.  The first Accokeek ones seem to have better finish, the new Gallatin facility apparently has put out some lemons, which shouldn't happen for a flagship product like that.

The $900 range isn't too bad, figure $500 for a base M9, $200 threaded barrel, $40 for each of the sand-resistant mags, $100 paint, $100 night sights.  I paid under $900 for mine, had to wait almost half a year though.  Saw a few at $1100 in the meantime that I passed on, as the M9A3 is nice, but not $1100 nice.

Thanks, I knew it was a decocking lever, but I had no idea there had been a redesign.

A big +1 to the other member who said a frame-mounted safety would be the way to go.

Played with one at the 2015 NRA meeting.  Loved it.  Great trigger, thinner grip felt great.

Last time one showed up in my AO, price was $1100.  Didn't like it quite that much.

I'd probably bite around $800-900 though.
