There is a simple rule of thumb that I've found to work every time in the political decision making process.  If the idea is endorsed by Chuck Shumer or Hillary Clinton, then do the exact opposite and you will have made the right choice.  See, Chuck and Hill have a great deal of value in that they are always wrong about everything.  They do in fact study the issue, research it, and bounce it off of their staffs.  They then invariably arrive at the wrong conclusion and cause a very loud and very public knee jerk reaction that is latched onto by the media.
