I tried chocolate covered bacon about four years ago. It still makes me nauseated when I think about it.

More bacon is always better. So, I would argue that it does indeed make it taste better.

I anticipated this response. It's incorrect because it implies that the previous bacon was made better tasting than it would have been without more bacon. Every piece of bacon occupies the uppermost rung of the human palette's flavor potential. More bacon IS better from a utility maximization standpoint , but each piece doesn't make the previous one any worse.

What about types of bacon?

Regular vs maple vs applewood smoked vs pepperd? Even bacon has a tier system.

Being Jewish, I was raised on Hebrew Nationals. Not being a very religious person, I love me some bacon! That being said..the 1st time I tasted a ball park (not capitalized out of disrespect) I almost threw up. HN franks simply use a better cut of meat, with no fillers. Very few hotdogs are ok in my book. HN, Sabrett, and possibly one or 2 other brands. Add bacon to a good quality dog...heaven.
So to answer m1garand__man, it's just a good hot dog as a base for bacon awesomeness.

Those are all things that are not bacon adding or subtracting from the awesomeness of bacon depending on your preference. It's purely subjective at that point.
