I dont mean you hate them and have never shot them, but you hate them after having shot them. And no I will not post this in the Glock forum because the view is totally slanted over there lol.

right here.  Shot a Glock 26.  Muzzle whip was annoying, I could barely keep it in my hands and could only get 3 fingers around it.  The sights were meh...and then it KB'd on me.

I've been a Glock owner/lover since 1994. However I don't love my Glock 23 at the moment. Please see my reply at the bottom of the page from a thread in the Glock forum:

Only three companies guns have never failed me.  Glock (I have several), Armalite (again I have several, and even my AR10's have been 100%), and RRA.  On the other hand I have had unreliable (out of the factory box), Bushmaster (a little tweaking and it is now 100%), and a Kimber (also 100% after a little work).  I also had a Kahr PM40 which I expected to be unreliable after all I had read online, but in about 900 rounds I had one failure to feed at round#176.

It is odd that the stuff people say is unreliable has been good for me, and the "high end (Bushmaster/Kimber)" have given me trouble.  Maybe I should by some lorcin, vulcan, jennings, sws, etc.(not really), and see if they work for me

Edited as I still haven't learned to spell

I used to 'hate' them (thought they were 'fugly),

Then I shot a Glock 21, Most accurate handgun I have personally shot.. I sold my XD's (HATE the grip angle), and bought glocks.

I dunno what the hell kinda ammo you were shooting, but I have put plenty of rounds through a 26 without annoying muzzle whip and I've never had a problem holding onto it.

I have a good friend who has several glocks, and I don't care for them too much, but for those that like them they seem to work great.

I was always more comfortable personally shooting a USP.

I would'nt say I "hate" glocks, but I'll probably never own one.

I have big hands, and it was standard 9mm WWB ammo and some reloads.  Since the mags had no grip extrenders and my hards are big, I could literally only fit my first 3 fingers around the grip thusly I couldn't grip tight enough to control the muzzle whip.  Then there's the whole KB thing, I didn't like that at all.

I have to hold on with my first 3 fingers too, since I have big hands.  I dunno, maybe I'm just accustomed to it and don't notice it anymore.

Other than the Crap-tastic grip angle/shape, ugly as a dump truck looks and the fact that it could go kB! at any time, what's not to love?

I did not care for them until I shot one on steel plates and did much better than with my sig 226.

Then I bought a G34, it was just fantastic.  My other Glocks are also fantastic.

I just love shooting my Glocks...or any other handguns, sept for stuff like 44 mags, etc.

I have a glock 23, my only glock, and I enjoy shooting it more than my usp 40. If it went KB, I would'nt enjoy that. There are so many glocks out there compared to the other makes. I guess it only stands to reason that there would be many glock haters also.

I owned a Glock 21/30 combo.  They were okay, but just okay.  Too bulky and the grip angle sucked.  Sold them and bought a pair of S&W 4583TSWs.  Love them.

Was just issued a Glock 22.  Hands down the worst gun I have ever carried.  If you can believe it, it is even more uncomfortable than the G21, and I have already had to have it repaired because it had a nasty tendency to lock the slide on a loaded magazine (No, I was not thumbing the slide release and two other people repeated the malfunction.)  Not something you want to have happen when the SHTF.

that is the funniest shit I've seen in a long time.

but so not true in my case.

The only thing I hate about....  i bought a G19 (2nd gen) with a factory mounted laser on the trigger guard, I still have not found a decent holster for it. So it pretty much became a safe queen/range bag gun.

Traded my G21 in for a Mil-spec 1911A1 and haven't looked back. The spongy trigger and the size of the grips kept making me hit low right.  I can now actually hit what I aim at.

+1 on disliking the trigger and Grip angle.

They are good workhorse pistols though.

I do, for the most part.

Hate the grip angle, and the trigger sucks balls.

The Glock 30 I bought earlier this year was a huge waste of money, just sits around anymore.  I had that replaced as my CCW with a USP Compact very quickly.

If you have trouble with a G26, try a Kahr PM40, it will male you like the Glock  I have a G27, which feels mild compared to my little polymer .40 Kahr.

Maybe you need to exercises your right hand more?

I don't hate Glocks; they just are not the guns for me.

The grip angle is awkward for me, and I prefer having a manual safety for added assurance. I shot a range rental G17 once, and it performed admirably dispite looking like it was never cleaned though.

While I didn't actually *hate* 'em, they just weren't my cup of tea. I tried out a friend's issued G22, and even though I shot it well, I still had a problem with the lack of a manual safety, the plastic frame, didn't particularly like the trigger, no hammer, etc.

But after trying many different types/makes/models of pistols, that damned Glock is the one I shot best with, so I thought again about the "problems" I had with Glocks in general.

No safety...big freakin' deal...keep your finger off the trigger until you're ready to fire.
No hammer...just a bit of my being old-fashioned, I guess. The Glock's action has proved itself beyond doubt.
Trigger mechanism...since I shoot fairly well with a Glock, I don't suppose it's that big a deal (for me). The short reset is a plus, IMO.
Plastic frame...I'm still not much of a fan of a plastic/polymer frame, but what the hell...the thing's as light as a feather.

I bought a Glock 19, and so far, it's everything I've needed in a pistol.

As far as durability goes, I'll refer readers to Bigbore's thread in the Handgun Discussion forum:
ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=5&f=4&t=13658.

I didn't like the grip angle or the trigger.  I tried everything I could....installed a lighter trigger, hogue slip on grip....I just coulden't warm up to 'em.

Bought an HK instead.  If you want plastic, go HK.

Bought my first and only glock in 1992.   It was a model 22 in .40 S&W.   I bought it for a duty gun and at precisely round #52 with winchester silvertips it KB'd.   I refused to carry one ever since.  I would buy a model 17 if the auto backplate were legal but that's about the only way I'd be interested in another.

In short, HATE EM.

That same thing happens to me with my G23.  During aimed rapid fire, about half way through the third mag, I start pinching a very small part of my finger between the bottom of the trigger and the trigger guard.  The more I concentrate on it the less it happens and it isn't a big deal at all.

The grip angle seem to be the biggest complaint, but I love the grip angle.  I can get on target from a draw with a Glock much faster than anything else.  If I'm not drawing from a holster though the grip angle doesn't seem to matter as much.

It took me a wile to get used to the lack of external safety ( as I always carried a 1911 style weapon ) but I got used to it.

My father in law hated his, he finally traded it in for a Walter PPK. He claims that it wouldn't always fire, but after shooting with him I realized that he had a problem with his wrist. The same thing happened with his Beretta. His weak wrist wouldn't allow the recoil to properly feed the next round in and it would jam on him. Personally I think they're ugly

Nope! I've been carrying a G22 (.40S&W) with confidence for a few years now, always goes bang, handles great and feels good, I find it very reliable and thus, it is my primary defence handgun.

ETA: The grip angle is not an issue for me, I find it a natural pointer. As far as the trigger, I did a trigger job on it to suit my liking, LOVE IT...

Glocks are incredibly durable and reliable.

When they don't KABOOM.  HAHA!

But I'd never own one.

Those stupid finger grooves do more damage to my fingers...

Safety?  What safety?

Great weapon - just not for me.
