I'm sure that's an odd mix, but I figured I'd ask.  I'd like to find something in the $150-$200 range.

You could shoot products with an iPhone as long as the lighting was done correctly...$200 point and shoots are all relatively equal from the major manufacturers.  Pick your favorite color and spring for a lighting tent.

What about the ability to mount it to a tripod?

I would say don't use a camera phone, and either buy one of the better point-and-shoot models (better?  READ LOTS OF REVIEWS, particularly from a site like CNET) or go further and get the least expensive dSLR you can get.  The photo taking ability and the photos themselves will more than payoff for any business related work.  Don't skimp on image quality.  And don't forget to price shop on EBay.  I bought a Pentax K-x two years ago (I can't remember, $450 or $500), what's considered an "entry-level dSLR (but it's completely full featured) and whether I'm shooting manual or auto, picture quality is excellent.

This has turned out to be an absolutely wonderful camera and recorder for me.  Fujifilm Finepix for less than $200.00

For the price, you simply can't beat it. I have cameras that cost well over $5000.00 and I'd put the quality of those pictures next to the Fujifilm Finepix any day of the week. Very clear details that do not lose their crispness when you zoom in x24. It's a 14 megapixel and the video recording and sound is as sharp as the best I've used. The stabilization features and blink detection are more reliable than my costlier cameras.  It is user friendly, most come with great editing software, and it's pretty light considering the bulk.

The size is the only con and the pros far outweigh it. You can grab a plain, light and thin digital for a hundred and change at Walmart, but for what you get feature wise with this ... bulk is the last thing you worry about once you see what you can accomplish with it.

It sounds like a good camera and is at the top of my list so far.  Not may of the reviews I have seen talk about video that much.  Is there a time limit for each video?  What memory card do you have, and how much video will it hold?

Canon SX30 or SX40.  Nice wide angle through 35x optical zoom.  Good quality video.  SD card memory.  Decent priced batteries.  Reasonably robust/tough.  Love mine.  I have a small pocket camera which is good on the go, but for any real picture taking the SX30 comes out.  I debated a full SLR, but am not remotely interested in becoming a pro or even amateur photgrapher - When I need that, I'll hire someone with the talent and experience, but for every day stuff, the SX30 and ELPH fill all my photography and video needs.

ETA:  I know it's over the MSRP requested, but I watched the deals and got my SX30 on sale for $220 all-in with memory cards, extra battery, case, etc, shipped to my door.
