I used to play PaintBall, now I play Airsoft.

In the Semi-Auto only games, I find myself shooting with my middle finger more when I need to lay down rapid fire.

This in turn, transitions to my real gun shooting when I want to do mag dumps or practice rapid fire on steel with a pistol or rifle.

Does anyone here shoot with their middle finger?

By the way, Airsoft helps me a lot for training. Especially my Gas Glock with reloads for 3gun training :). Definitely recommended.

Only when I want to be extra spiteful.

I lived paintball for around a decade...I use the proper [index] finger for mag dumps.

Back before PSP limited their BPS to 10.2, or whatever retardedly slow ROF it is now, I did enjoy laying down the 15 with a few flicks a second from my middle finger though

Only for the off/left hand. Index finger has issue and can not pull a trigger, so the middle finger has to do. It is awkward as hell to shoot a handgun offhand.

Don't try it with an AK.

Charging handle into the tip of your index finger hurts.

(Old pballer here too)

My 10 year old daughter does.

I thought about stopping there since it is a pretty good burn but the truth is, she tries repeatedly and I keep correcting her.

I do. My trigger fingers are basically useless now, so I moved down one and use the middle finger.

Oddly enough, my trigger fingers have trigger finger.

I was shooting with a friend some years back and for some reason when he grabbed a .40 sigma he held his thumb on the trigger hand straight up in the air. I noticed what he was doing and somewhere between thinking "surely he isn't that stupid" and "hey wait a minute" he squeezed one off and had blood dripping where his thumbnail used to be. I still feel bad that I didn't react in time stop him, but it all worked out. He is a pretty big gun nut to this day.

So early on we established in this thread that children and girls do this.

Until some tactical training guru starts doing it, and then everyone here will "run" their rifles with their middle finger.

Yes, but only when shooting for speed with an Enfield. That's the proper way to do it - thumb and forefinger on the bolt knob, middle finger pulls the trigger. Shoot ten, load five, shoot five, load five, rinse, repeat.

Not me, but one of my buddies use to.  Lost his index finger in a accident though.

Nope.  Former tourney paintball player as well.  I can rip off rounds as fast as I need to with my index finger.
