I'm thinking of converting my F-150 to either dual fuel or LP only for fuel cost reasons.
I'm aware that converting to LP doestn't improve gas milage but the cost of LP is quite a bit lower than the cost of gasoline.

Since I have never driven a LP fueled vehicle I'm just wondering what happens to engine performance?
Also, other than the slight hassle of refueling, are there any major disadvantages in doing this?
Do you think it's even worth the trouble???

I thought about making my wifes Tahoe a bi-fuel/CNG vehicle. Supposedly the performance is not supposed to be diminished by much, but it probably is.

The up front costs are the kickers. $3500 plus installation for the CNG conversion. $3500 plus installation for a filling station at your home. But registration for your vehicle drops considerably. And the equivalent to filling up is at about $1.50 per gallon.
