I had some when I was a young lad, which I probably still have around somewhere, but I've never got into collecting them, though, I understand there are books available for collectors, and I imagine some rare ones are out there.  I guess I might have to look closer when I go to garages sales, after finding these two recent auctions.

I understand, I guess, why this first auction was something worth having, (but not at that   price)!cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6949567077&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT
But I don't understand how someone pays so much for the camaro, in the second auction.cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=6949809574&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT

Unbelievable.  I collect some Hot Wheels but mostly I collect Johnny Lightning cars because they are more realistic looking.  I don't feel so bad now for paying $15.00 for a 69 black Mach 1.
