Ignore the morons.

I have a Durango Citadel, great SUV if you need three rows.  It's actually fun to drive for a SUV.  Make sure you get one from 2014- up, the 8 speed is a game changer.  The Hemi makes great sounds.  AWD versions get a 2 speed transfer case and it can tow up to 7400 pounds.

UConnect 8.4 is the best infotainment system I've ever used.

I rent them regularly and really like them. I'd consider buying one depending on their price. Never looked to see what they cost. Sound great, seems quick compared to my 13 Explorer and I like the looks. Lots of bells and whistles inside.

Test drive one , it certainly drove nice and sounded mean. Nice features in the interior like captains chairs and a third row seat.

The Rubicon is a 16 four door. It's the wife's daily driver. Had it for 16k miles and exactly one year. Even loaded it is pretty sparse with the luxuries.

I bought a 2017 RT Blacktop edition in December. I love it.

It's fast, especially in "sport" mode, and sounds great.

Interior is very comfortable and has lots of nice features. The 8.4 Uconnect system is great.

I only have a few thousand miles on mine but so far I have zero complaints and enjoy the hell out of driving it......

It's a Dodge, it will be nice when it's new and under warranty, then fall apart after. Also, prepare your anus for the depreciation when you go to trade it in.  This is coming from a Dodge owner.

Nailed it.  But you own a Rubicon. It's also a Dodge.  You'll probably break even.  Ditch dodge and go Toyota.

Unless your wife has to drive over an actual mountain to work everyday, the Durango will be a better vehicle in every way.

Wife liked the Rubicon when she got it because it she thought it was sporty. She was driving a Lincoln before, so the Jeep got old pretty quick.
Test drove a 4 runner a couple of weeks ago. It was much nicer inside than the Jeep, but just as under powered with a poor ride and handling (yep its a truck). Its also uglier than a wet bag of smashed assholes.

Wife didn't like the pathfinders or explorers.
I prefer to just keep the Jeep, but happy wife happy life all that.

Dodge seems to have upped their game over the last few years. As for broke down, falling apart and leaking all over the driveway, I drive a 6.oh powerstroke so I already got that covered.
